 Chickadee Indigenous Relations provides a rich experience that helps participants understand the different views and insights from Indigenous Peoples, Government, and various industries. We aim to emphasize the need for teamwork and communication among these groups to encourage more inclusive discussions.

A Commitment to Reconciliation

We support the advancement of reconciliation between Canada, Canadians and Indigenous Peoples of Turtle Island.

To work with Indigenous Peoples, Governments and the private sector in protecting Mother Earth for future generations.

To support sustainable development that benefits all Peoples and the environment.

I am passionate about reconciliation and forging a new path forward that will ensure a healthy and equitable future for all Canadians.
 
I believe that Indigenous Peoples have the knowledge, commitment and perseverance to come out of colonial systems as strong and vital parties to building an inclusive Canada we can all be proud to call home.
 
I offer advice and guidance on perspectives from Indigenous Peoples, Governments and Industry.

My career has provided me with a wealth of fulsome experience, enabling me to develop a deep and nuanced understanding of the diverse perspectives held by Indigenous Peoples, various levels of Government, and the Industry. This unique insight has been invaluable in navigating the complexities of relationships and communications among these important groups.

Indigenous

Chickadee has worked with the Métis Nation of Alberta, Kehewin Cree Nation, Louis Bull Tribe.

Lead the development and implementation of consultation policies and processes. Managed land use, oil & gas activity as well as contaminated site remediation projects and budgets.

Supported Leadership in working with governments, the private sector and funding agencies. Provided guidance to leaders in developing economic opportunities.

Government

Collaborated with Indigenous Services Canada (previously INAC), Indian Oil & Gas, Government of Alberta, Canada Energy Regulator

Carried out a variety of environmental management and compliance roles on Reserve lands in Alberta. Reviewed and provided recommendations pertaining to oil & gas applications on Reserve.
 
Implemented policy relating to the duty to consult. Guided consultation and engagement with Indigenous rights holders in Alberta. Provided liaison support between Government with First Nations & Métis.

Collaborated with Enbridge, Mistral Energy, TC Energy, Kisik Environmental Services

Led consultation on major projects, specifically Keystone XL post permitting, Grand Rapids pipeline and several gas lines.

Assisted project management teams in understanding and addressing impacts to Indigenous Rights and building strong relations with rights holders.
